Alone at Home Pet Services, Inc., was founded in 1997 by Tammy L. McMahan. We are backed with over 30 years of experience in Veterinary technology along with lots of enthusiasm for the well-being of all critters.

Tammy started working with animals at the SPCA of St. Petersburg in the 1990s and decided to attend St. Petersburg Junior College for her degree. After graduating in 1995, Tammy passed both the State and National Exams.
After two years of research, Tammy started the family-owned and operated Alone at Home Pet Services for the ultimate well-being, safety and security of people’s pets (including all kinds and breeds) when their owners cannot be there. My husband, Jeff, began part-time and transitioned to full-time in 2007.
We are proud to provide professional pet care in your home each and every time we visit! All our staff have been background checked and are bonded and covered under liability insurance for your complete peace of mind. We are also certified in CPR and Pet First Aid.
Customer support is available for all our clients 24/7, a combination that cannot be beat! We offer services that include dog walking, pet sitting and animal specialty services (excluding veterinary care).
Through our experience, commitment and expertise, Alone at Home Pet Services, Inc., has established long-term relationships with our clients and their pet family members that will last a lifetime!

I'm lucky, I love my job! I have met a lot of animals and enjoyed learning from every one of them. Yes, you read correctly! I learn from your pets!
One thing I learned early on is not all animals are the same! Each pet is an individual who likes, wants and needs different things. For example, some love their own space. But others want your full attention and non-stop cuddling! Other pets want to play outside, sit on the patio or take a dip in the kiddy pool while others would rather chill inside on the floor, couch or bed. But no matter what their needs are, I enjoy time with each and every pet!
You can be assured that, as your pet sitter, I will treat your fur baby or other pet with the same care and love you would give them. I learn about their likes and dislikes and use this knowledge to bond with them. I will give them undivided attention and love, give them a nice long walk or plenty of playtime with the laser pointer. Whether it’s an afternoon visit or several visits while you’re out of town, I will love them and keep their normal routine as close as possible for your pet’s ultimate happiness and well-being.
